Environmental protection, in Chinese President Xi Jinping’s eyes, should

“My hope is that every day we will see a blue sky, green mountains and
clear rivers not just in Beijing, but all across China, so that our
children will live in an enjoyable environment. This is a very important
part of the Chinese Dream,” said President Xi.
“我希望北京乃至全中国都能够蓝天常在、青山常在、绿水常在，让我们的孩子们都生活在良好的生态环境之中，这也是中国梦很重要的内容，”习总书记说道。
On many occasions, Xi has called for a greater effort to promote green
development, as the country seeks to better balance its economic growth
and environmental protection.
习近平曾在多个场合呼吁为促进绿色发展做出更大的努力，以寻求经济增长与环境保护之间的平衡。
