Motors Corp's top two executives are likely to resign over the Japanese
automaker's manipulation of fuel economy data, Japanese media reported
on last Wednesday, in a scandal that has halved the company's market
value in a week.

Japan's sixth-biggest automaker said on last Tuesday it used fuel
economy testing methods that did not comply with Japanese regulations
for 25 years. It said it would set up an external committee to
investigate the matter and report the results in three months.
这一日本的第六大汽车制造商上周二承认，已经使用不符合日本规定的燃油经济性测试方法长达25年。该公司表示将设立外部调查委员会调查此事，在3个月内通报结果。
Masuko and Aikawa are expected to resign after the committee reports the
results, according to the newspapers. A Mitsubishi Motors spokesman
declined to comment.
